I have an Optimate, but Im sure they all do the same job.

Just one point, i had mine connected to the bike whilst in storage last winter, once you have connected it DONT leave it switched off as I did, it totally drained the battery.

Ha, at my age now I don't even want to think about having to push start it...<LOL>. I use the maintainer all the time, well worth the small investment.

I also got a Schumacher from Walmart. I really got it for my Sea Doo. It comes with the pig tail connector as well as the standard battery connect clips. I rotate the charger between the Harley, Sea Doo and my garden tractor. For $17.88 the thing is a steal.

I still have not purchased a battery tender. Every week I go out to the garage, fire her up and let her warm up. Afterwards, I bring the rpms up a little to help charge the battery. I have done that all winter and I have not had a problem(knock on wood).

powerup solar charger - $40 - bike all winter, boat all summer - vroom vroom everytime - no switches, buttons or overcharging
