My son is looking for a little lower seat height on his 05 xl. Does anyone know if switching to the Nightster seat will allow for lower seating height? Has anyone tried this before? I know the Nightster seat will not be as comfortable as the stock solo (which is not all that comfortable either), but he likes the look of the Nightster seat and would like to try it. Comments anyone?

 

I have a nightster seat on my 2007 XL50, and it's quite a bit lower than the stock 2-up seat was. Mine has the small tank, and the Nightster seat doesn't come all the way to the tank, but I can live with it. It shows in my sig pic below.....

 

Take a look at the seats by www.ccseats.com as they're low, look nice and made better. Thinking about one of their solos myself.

 

Actually I can tell you the HD Reach Solo seat sits lower and is way more comfortable than the stock Nightster seat. Even though they claim it too be 1/2" forward than the stock seat, its a 1/2" further back to the Nigtster seat. The biggest reason its more comfortable is the back rise is about 2" higher and its a good 1" wider.
