Better be stealin' to feed his 5 kids or I'm gonna kick his ***. Probably kick his *** and then feed his kids. Ever since I was in the service, and some jek stole my bag full of dirty underwear, I have had no sympathy for theives.

Hey ******, where'd you put your helmet lock at? I went down to the dealer today figuring that there'd be a lock I could easily get and put on the sportster - I mean, come on, its something that should be standard anyway. But the lock they had only fits on the frame, and so it was limited to the front frame tubes, right by the engine/exhaust, which isn't a much better solution than letting someone steal the friggin' helmet. Guess I should be looking at non-HD options.

And yeah, I already got a tool kit since it also wasn't included. And the horn's in the same spot as my old Suzuki's turn signal switch, lots of fun there honking instead hitting the blinker the first couple of days.

Get my stage I, new seat and windshield later this week, and its still hitting 60's most days, can't wait

I know you asked ******, but a friend turned me on to this one and it looks very nice on my bike.

The nice thing is you can put a longer length cable for other uses (you can use 2 at the same time). Ya there are cheaper solutions, but this one looks really nice as well as functioning extremely well.

Alexcue, thanks for that link, that seems like a really good idea. Bit pricey I guess, but you're right, it looks nicer than a clamp-on type lock and the cable would make it easy to put more than 1 helmet on it.

You know, i know it looks pricey, but what sold me is the chrome finish, you can remove it and a chrome "washer" is left on the bike, It looks stock, i mounted it on the screw to the rear of the Shock screw. You wouldn't know what it is by looking at it. I picked up the matching screw at Home Depot for a couple of bucks (this screw will not rust).

My friend was using his lock to hook both our helmets without a problem. Just hang the helmet on the sissy bar or place it on the seat if you'd like. I said i need one of those! I also picked up the 6' cable for my jacket, when i don't feel like lugging it around, just run it thru the sleeve.

Sissy bar side plate, mounted it flat against it on the lowside away from pipes. Threw away the "back" piece made to fit it around the tube. Check out the Post I made "Turn signal relocation", you can barely see it across top of tag.
