Stranded in Iowa
Paula didn't think I would do it, but I did. I brought her Sporty in the house to work on it today. Only 3 degrees here in Iowa, so too cold to work in the garage. Had an accessory marathon today. Put on forward controls, kury pegs, highway bars, and tour pak. We put on the bags and windshield when we first bought the bike. Now if we could just put on some miles. Only have 15 miles so far. Iowa sucks.
Stay warm.

RE: Stranded in Iowa
Well it's minus 13 today here in lovely Minnesota.... We will be moving this year, were done..... It's too cold to even try to get one of the bikes into the living room, think my hand would freeze to the bars.... Not Riding really sucks, and if I don't stop buying and stockpiling accessories out of shear boredom, I won't have any time to ride next summer either........ Oh CRAP!

RE: Stranded in Iowa
I hear both of you guys... I'm here in Iowa too! I had to go out to work on the back of my truck for a little bit, and in less than 10 minutes my hands were almost frostbitten! I need to fire up the space heater and work on my Sportyhorse too. Jeez... I have an engine guard, a kuryakin brake (foot) pad, and I'm going to try out some mini-floor boards... I'll never get it all done if it doesn't warm up pretty darned soon.
I can't move though, I make too damned much money. Nobody would ever pay me this much anyplace else. So, I'm stuck. Oh well.

Pilotguy and JohnE, my brother and I had the pleasure of riding through your lovely state last June comming back from S. Dak. We saw on our map The Airpower Museum just east of Ottumwa. We stopped for a look see and spent the rest of the day there. It was very interesting. No admission fee, just a donation box. I dropped$20 in the box and we signed the register. A couple of weeks later we got a thank you note for the man in charge. It was a good visit.
