Just found out that Rossmeyers Daytona Harley is selling a brand new vivid black 08 nightster for 10,300.00 out the door! Thats 8000.00 for the bike and 2300.00 in tax, tag, title, and other fees. Sure wish they had done that for the customs cause I paid 7500 for my used 06 but would have paid the additional 500.00 for new. Oh well, just goes to show its a buyers market right now.

 

$8k is probably what they pay for the bike from HD. You also have to look at the possibility of them making money on financing, and selling add-on goodies not too mention what they are charging for assembly, if they charge $800 for that, its $799 profit. They are taking the chance of someone paying cash and walking out with the bike for cost..but its worth it too move product and look good to the MoCo.
They are still making money, just not as much.

 

$2300 in taxes and fees?? WTF, that is not a good deal! I would like to see thedetails of the "other fees".

 

No ****. It's not a BAD deal though. Most new 1200N's OTD are about $11,000-11,200.

 

update, I just called them and the price is 7995.00 and out the door is UNDER 10,000.00! Thats pretty damn good. If anyone is lookin for a Nightster theres a heads up.

 

damn....not bad at all especially since i paid more than that for my 07 6months ago.

 

guys i posted that same bike the other night on the sportsterforum . i was there i seen the bike & talked to the salesman & yes it,s a great price for the bike.

 

Kinda surprising from that dealership.His prices are always way above most area dealers.I live right near there and I don't know anyone who has bought a bike there.It's usually worth driving somewhere else to save money

I think there's a big tent sale this weekend(Thurs,Fri,Sat,Sun) too
