Default frem belt to chain

I just orderd a weld on hardtail section from kansas kustom and am going to finally start my bobber/rat bike project. However, I probally dont have the knowledge needed but, Ill figure it out as I go. I'll be asking a series of questions that I'm hoping you guy's will be able to help me with.

anyways first things first. Im wanting to swap the belt for a chain. Im wondering if there is more to it than just swapping the pullies for sprockets and the belt for a chain. also, I am unable to find the rear wheel and drive sprocket for an 97 1200C. could anyone possibly send me a link for some to look at. thanks in advance

Toughest part is going to be alignment. I am sure there are tricks of the trade, I am also sure I wouldn't want to mess that up and be the one to find out.

Just put a straight edge along the chain and make sure it touches all the way along. It will be aligned.Check the chain tension with someone on the seat.

Because it will look better with a chain than with a belt. I am aware of the added maintanence, but it basically comes down to appearance

and thanks for the link brian

you saying the chain looks better than the belt on that frame or in general? Cuz to me chain looks pretty greasy and kinda cheap, like dirt bikes, what you say?
