Default Moving the rear turn signals

My friend and I are sitting here debating the looks of the factory HD signal re-location kit.
Are there really any other good alternatives besides it and the the kit that mounts them to the end of the rails?

Yeh, actually that's what my friend has been sitting here sayin. His scoot is in my gallery.......notice the lack of turn signals

When you talk relocation you talking about the laydown licens plate with the turn signal relocators i did that to my dyna and it turned out good but not quite right until i ditched the yellow/orange covers and put all read on them looks real good now.

One of the better looking solutions is the softail light bar reloacting them under the taillight. A little pricey (about $118) but clean looking an tighter in vs. the goofy HD monts off the tag bracket. Even thought about doing it myself.

Here's a shot of Rahlows bike with it....

This is what I did.. It cost about $10. You will need 1/2 " chome extension nipples (about 5" long)found in the plumbing dept.,rubber gromets from the hardwaredept.. found mine with the loose screws.. andsome lengths of screws to fit through the fender, through the pipe and into the turn signals. make sure they thread properly. Then a small hole through the pipe for the wiring.The hardest part itto get theright angle on the pipe so they sit right... Ifyoulook at the close up pic, you will see that the left side signal is good, butthe right side is not the right angle. I have the new pipe, I just have to cut it.. Just throw it in avise, and use a hacksaw or usea sawzall if your comfortable.

Back when I had my stock trun signals I removed the stems alltogether and replaced them with a bolt that would hold the signal itself up against the fender strut.Basically bolted them on from the inside.I think that mod cost $0.70 from ace hardware.
