The "my first mod" post from monday was a bit tongue in cheek. I actually have quite a few things in a nice little pile I need to put on the bike.
The one thing thatI cant quite decide on is my chrome sidecovers. I had them throw in a pair when I bought the bike.
They just been sitting there in the garage......
The black and silver look is really starting to grow on me, especially since I'm gonna do the turn signal re-location and put my bags on it.
So ya'll think they might be a bit much considering the bike is already silver?
Been playing with the idea of doing color matched covers as well. I think you guys scootsthat have the cm'd look really sharp.

 

Just my own personal preference, but I like the look of the 'color matched' covers....

To me the color matched covers adds to the 'color flow' from the rear fender to the gas tank, while allowing the chrome to mainly be lower on the bike...

 

I think color matching is the way to go. I'm not real big on chrome,some is nice but i'd consider side covers to much.

 

I agree with OFG but I think the chrome strips add just enough to the covers

I don't like too much chrome with silver... for example I hate chrome rims on silver cars. Color matched would look good, or black.

 

I never really cared that much for the chrome side covers myself, it just looks like too much. The color matched are a little better but I'd say stay with the black, easier, cheaper and looks pretty good.

 

I'd go with color matched with a silver bike.

The accents I think look pretty sweet too, like on Hornet"s

 

The accents do look good, but its either chrome (like on my bike) or the color matched. But, its your bike your choice

 

I'm actually kinda having fun doing this. I didn't touch my 2 previous Harley's. Just rode them. So this a new expereince for me. I seriously think you could go cross-eyed looking at all thestuff you can buy.
