Default Handlebar questions?

I have the stock bars on my Roadster and went with forwards and its an uncomfortable riding position. Legs out and leaning forward. I want a set of bars that will allow me to keep my tack and speedo arrangement, but that pull back quite a bit more. What would you guys suggest? Thanks!

Bet you'll bet alot of suggestions for mini-apes, I like em myself. You might look into a set of flat track pull back bars by flanders or the sportster pull back bars. They look good and give 2-3" pullback too (almost went with them myself). I've run my apes for over 10k miles and still love them but they're not for everyone. You might also just get some different taller risers or those with more pullback. Every 1" up even with taller straight risers give about 3/4" more lean back towards the rider. Problem you'll run into with bar or riser change will be possibly needing new cables or extending the wiring but comfort is worth it.

By the way, regardless of bar or riser arrangement you can keep the tach/speedo setup and just mount it on your trees like I did and you can also use sockets or pipe for spacers to raise it up.

I've since switched from the 2" risers in the pic to 3" round top risers and even mounted flush with no spacers can see the lights and speedo over the bars just fine.

I had mine changed at the stealer prior to pickup.
They had a mech there who had a 883 and he had them on, when I sat on it it just felt right
so I went with the same Mid Wester bars he had and they are great.
You dont have to reach and they feel comfy and I feel I am in a natural position when riding.

Mini apes with highway pegs make for a very comfortable ride....

I have a XL1200C with forward controls and had the same problem.I first installed a set of '06 Dyna Low bars that are 31"w, 5"h and have a 9" pullback. (I did have to change to a longer brake line). These were thepolished stainless set, $54 at the local dealer. These were much better but (just like everything else) I wanted a little more (pullback).I have since installed a set of '07 XL1200L bars that are 28"w, 6"h and have 10" pullback. Another $71 to the local dealer for the chrome set.I thought about a set offlattracker bars (11" pullback) but didn't want to mess with extending the wires. If you do have to extend the wires, JP Cycles has wiring extensions form 4" up that sound like theyplug and go.Before changing the bars I couldn't ride for over 30 minutes without my back starting to hurt.Changing the bars has made a world of difference.

Hope this helped.

I really like these bars, I tried to google them, but keep getting all kinds of weird chit. Any ideas where I might buy them, checking J&P now, luck yet. thanks!

Those bars are known as beach bars and are also typically found on Fatboys I believe.

I sat on a bike with buckhorns and I found them to be too narrow.
