Stupid question
I have my tank off the bike at the moment to be resprayed while I add a few bits,
Whilst putting on the new oil cover today I needed to remove the battery. Once it was all put back together again, except for the tank, I tested all the lights, etc to make sure they worked as I accidently hit the frame with a wrench whilst tightening the positive, causing a little sparkage. I have noticed that the bike will not attempt to kick over now, although all lights are working perfextly. Is this simply because I have the tank off and therefore there is not a drop of gas to fire her up, not so much as a spark....??
When I put in new switches on the bars the other day, the engine seemed like it attempted to fire up when I tried, although the tank was not connected then either.
Could I have burnt something out when the wrench earthed out while refitting the battery. ??
The horn, lights and accessories are all in order, its just the bike wont attempt to kick over when I try...I will be relieved if it is just because the tank has been removed, but I would have thought the starter would have at least attempted to turn..
Thanks for your help guys.
