Default Rain Grooves!!!

Does anyone elses heart seize when you unexpectedly come across rain grooves at 75 mph???
Today I was on an unfamiliar stretch of interstate with traffic at 75mph when suddenly, I was on a 5 mile stretch of rain grooves. I dont think I took a single breath for all 5 miles. I hate rain grooves. Wouldnt they work as well if they were horizontal???How do you guys deal with rain grooves? It felt like Iwas riding on dead fish.
This stretch of road has a 70 mph limit and the cagers average about 80-85mph.
I was feeling very vulnerable out there.

It is not a good feeling I get that is for sure. I just try and relax and let the bike do its thing.

Yep..I also encounter on back roads here in Wisconsin tar lines which are cracks filled with tarand theyheatup from the sun.You seem to caught on them, and being soft you lose control until you ride out

Relax the elbows, let the bike's momentum carry you through.

Personally don't think much about them.... just another road surface that feels different....

I was told never do anything quick eg. grab the front brake, throttle steering just relax as stated above.Itsevenworst when the groves are on an exit ramp andyour hitting it at speed. The 180 rear tire also helps.

Ride Safe.

Try to relax and get through it. Being alert to the change is good though. The old saying goe's, ride safe.
