I have an old 1999 that looks new, but in terms of the best looking stock Sporty, how can you go past the Orange/Black or Silver/Black Nightsters. I even have a little Nighty poster next to the porcelain throne in an attempt to mindwash my Mrs who spends all day in there !!!!

Sportster=The ****. Period.

 

Mine's pretty much stock and bare bones....

Dbleagle every time you post, I have to call over my wife from the lounge and make her look at your sig...you have by far the most amazing chrome and right hand side of a bike I have ever seen. Period. You have probably cost us $3000 in chrome with that picture.

 

I think stock sportsters always look good and that's one reason we buy 'em. But then some people who have customized them to just look badass - Charlie D. being a prime example. Then there's some bikes where I feel people just start tacking stuff on without thoughts to the lines of the bike - these are the ones that are just not my taste. In my opinion I only add anything to my bike for three reasons: 1.Performance, 2. Functionality, 3. Looks.

And I won't add one without consideration of the the other two. For instance, I'm still trying to do my stage1 but I haven't figured out the perfect combo of air cleaner & pipes for me. Performance being the primary driver but looks being absolutely essential as well and to top it off I don't want pipes that won't allow me to have my daughter jump on the back for a quick ride to get ice cream in a couple years.

I guess that's why my bike is still as stock as it is.

 

I quite agree, tho' I'd suggest the 1200 Roadster is the one

( which pisses off my base 883 every time I say it LOL )

I like them all, for that matter I like the look of almost every bike in the HD line up

 

now THAT is a sportster! what year is it? I can tell its an ironhead, and I see the flat rear fender struts and old style oil tank, but the aircleaner looks newer that the engine.

 

I'll vote for the "C" models, but it's just a personal preference...
