Took mine in 2 times for voltage reg, re-mount no parts, they were supose to hold a bracket for me.

This thread is about a different recall...new in regards to the regulator failing.

Had it done they just relocate the voltage regulator on the frame... the 07 frames were different than the 04-06's and the voltage regulator could have got stuck in the front fender the fix takes like 10 minutes

Oh my... must be brand new... just had the heat sheild recall done on the 23rd of last month... goody... wonder when they will make a chrome voltage regulator or chrome cover for the 07/08's? the old ones arent applicable to the FI's (I checked)

The recall had nothing to do with regulator or battery failures. It involved the front fender coming in physical contact with (hitting) the voltage regulator on 07 models.

Voltage regulators are just temporary disposal items anyway. They fail so often, I have a spare. Just like having a spare tire for a cage.

Had mine replaced at 500 miles (under warranty of course) after two trips to the dealership.
