Quick question... does the kit include EVERYTHING you need? What does the installation kit have in it?

RE: Who's got a bobtail?
Mine had the lic. plate holder/ cats eye tail light...used original bolts. was really easy to install..mine was unpainted..an aftermarket kit I got on E BAY...was not that expensive, if I remember correctly.

RE: Who's got a bobtail?
tplyons,
Thanks, The bobtail was installen by adealer per the prev owner. I will check the paperwork, but I think the liscense plate bracket/taillight is a separate part. I am trying to find one more like the Dyna WG bracket to get rid of the somewhat cheap looking plastic lisc bracket, but have not found one yet. Your dealer would know also. The wiring harness would need re-routed into the new fender/conduit also?
I think you would have a good look in the red/black pearl. We will be waiting for some pics

Only thing is that once you start to modify the Sportster with stuff like an extended front, bobtail rear, etc., they start to loose their 'classic lines', and start to look almost like a smaller version of a Dyna.
