Motorcycle Lift's

RE: Motorcycle Lift's
Sears used to sell two; an $80 bucks ish one, red and heavy as hell; and a $160 bucks ish one, yellow and half the weight. I bought the yellow one, but when I lift the bike (2007 XL1200C)on what looks like two cross rails underneath, all the weight is too the rear and the lift twists as it lifts. What is the proper lift points underneath a Sporster?

I have the red jack from Sears. It works great. I can put the bike on the jack, strap it down with the tie downs that come with the jack, and safely roll the bike around the garage if I need to. No worries of the bike falling off the jack.
They rountinuely run that jack on sale for $59

I did not see that good looking one at harbor freight, I bought the yellow one and it works just fine. I nearly bought the red one at Kragen for 59.00 also but you had to mail in for the rebate. I said forget that and just went to the "cheap" store. It's holding the 1200 c for three weeks now while I wait for the calipers to come home from the chrome shop. It works nicly for the quad too. I will buy the cheap china goods for those items that do not get used lots, but for the regular stuff, I go for the lifetime guarantee of CRAFTSMAN.
