I have been thinking of getting a thunder max EFI kit.
Exactly what came in your thunder max EFI kit?
Also where did you end up purchasing yours?
Is there anything that you do not like about it?
Thanks
Matt

[quote]I heard a lot of folks say that 2into1s dont sound good but mine sound better than the SE slip ons or the cycleshack slip ons I
have ran before, they also sound better than V&H pipes (to me) They arethroaty and rich with a real nice sound on decell.
I coundnt be happier.[quote]

I contacted Zipper's and thier Hammer 88 Kit is $4,529.00. There are twoHammer 88 kits to choose from - either the torque kit or the horsepower kit.Zipper's told me that most opt for the torque kit because the performance is bestexperienced with the low-endtorque than compared to the high-reving horsepower. I am seriously considering going for the torque kit butwill researchthe idea of just making heads/cams modifications.

Mark G,
Thanks for the input and the web link on the Thunder Max. Are there any issues with voiding the warranty when you do a self install on the Thunder Max? I've got the 2008 Nightster, so I sure don't want to screw up the warranty within the first few months of owning the bike.

Head-Quarters for me...here's my old Sporty:
http://www.head-quarters.com/html/100_x_89.html
Was fast, smooth and I ran it hard for 20000km and someone offered me enough money to let it go. I then built a 103/HQ FXDXT, but I sure miss the sporty.Would like todo a'02 or '0388" 883R someday...

Whatever you decide to do, just make sure that you matchthe engine with the correct intake and exhaust flow...
If not, it could create an unnatural flow and lead to a possible timing paradox, the results of which could create a chain reaction that would unravel the very fabric of the space-time continuum and destroy the entire universe...
Granted that's a worst case scenario.
The destruction might in fact be very localized, limited to merely our own galaxy.

I wouldn't be suprized at all if a dealer were to try and void your warranty. But they may try that for something as simple as changing you own oil to.
The reality is, they would have to prove in court that whatever damage was cased by the thunder max.
I did mine myself and it's been fine. Works great actually! The only trouble i've had with my bike was caused by stuff the dealer has done. I was able to get satisfaction from them on that, including a free ride for a week on a dyna.
