In the past year reading articles about the Nightster, I have caught a couple of blurbs about the heads being reworked for 07. I am sure it applies to all 1200 engines and maybe the 883. My guess, if this is true, thereworkis to take advantage of the F.I. or maybe some need for meeting the EPA .I was wondering if this is true or maybe the editor got there info wrong.
On another note anyone notice the Nightster winning a slot in the top ten for under $10k in Motorcycle Mag?

 

Here's the official word that Harley publishes:

Intake Flanges
• New intake flanges
and fasteners
• Wider flanges allow for
better fastener access
• Uses four hex bolts
rather than allen bolts
• New cylinder heads to
accommodate new flanges
• 1200 Heads have changes
to intake port and intake
valve seat
• No service procedure
changes to new heads,
only part number changes
