Well, I'm now the proud owner of a 2006 XL Custom! The price was right, condition was near perfect and it has 817 miles!

I'm so jazzed!




I do have a question, though... what should my 1000 mile service cost me at the dealer?

At least for the first service, I think that I'd like someone to do it. A second set of eyes on the bike can't be a bad thing.

Nice bike! Congrats. I like the side trim and the pipes. Did you buy from a dealer? Otherwise not sure on the cost for that.

Hi, Just bought the same bike and year as You did but it came with 2,600 miles from the dealer and already had the1000 mileservice. But when they took Me to meet the Service Manager He handed Me a printout for everything covered by the 5,000 mile service with the price being $260 OTD. Probally doing it Myself as I don't want the HD Syn3 oil which is what they use . But I may take it in in the Spring for a once over . .........WVleo

 

Great looking bike ! I love the customs the best. I guess I'm sorta a softy when it comes to chrome (sorry, nightster fans). I do all my own work so I don't know a dollar amount.

Nice bike, welcome to the forum. Not sure of the price for the service, I live in Canada.

 

Sweet bike. 1000 mi service will run you around $250 or so. Slightly more if you switch to synthetic.

I just bought the FixMyHog DVD set for my Sporty. I don't plan to bring my bike in ever again for servicing!

Right on, I never could understand people buying a new bike and not riding it. I bought mine in AUG. it has 5100 mi. now, 800 miles is a find. Congrats.
