What speed do you switch gears?
I have a 883 sporty and I am just wondering at what speeds does eveyone switch gears since must of us are less fortunate and dont have a tach

I had a Tach the bracket cracked and I took it off. No need for it, the bike will tell you when to shift.

Exactly. I never look at the speedo in my car but I know when to shift it; same as on the bike.

1st about 15mph to 20mph,2nd 30mph to 35 mph,3 rd 35mph to 45mph, 4th 45mph to 55mph,5th 55 to 60.

I do it by feel and sound. However on my 1200 C if I'm into laid back cruising I find I shift into 2nd at 20, 3rd at 30 4th at 40 and 5th at 50.

WOW lots o diff between a 883 and a 1200. mine is 1st 50 2nd 75. 3rd 95
4th and 5th I am usually backing off. [8D]
