I knew buying a bike off of ebay in the middle of the winter would create some unique challenges, but this is rediculous! LOL!
Now I've got to start thinking about replacing my wifes vehicle (the Durango was hers).
There was a witness behind me that told the police that the other lady crossed the centerline and hit me - and both vehicles and all of the debris was in my lane. The police didn't seem to have many questions for me and led me to believe that he understood what happened. They said it would be 5-7 days before we got the "official" report.

YIKES!!! Glad you're ok. When you get the Sporty, just remember you statement about the collision, "mass wins"!!!!
Totalled Truck...no problem. I haven't bought gas for my Jeep since I bought my Sporty. But then, I have a bit more moderate climate than you, and probably a less demanding schedule.

O.K., one more attempt. A buddy has offered to drive me up to Toledo tomorrow (justgonna usemy flatbed trailer - Uhaul probably wants nothing to do with me now, heh heh) to get the bike. Maybe by tomorrow I'll have my Sportster.

Yeah, unfortunately I drive 126 miles one way to work and am usually hauling a suitcase and have to leave my vehicle parked in a long-term parking lot for several days at a stretch - soriding to work isn't really an option. Actually, the Durango was my "wifes" vehicle - I usuallycommute to work inalittle TOYota Coroller-skate (36 mpg!). My wife gave me the "I'm so glad you are alright." thing for about 30 minutes and then she was online shopping for her next vehicle! LOL! (just kidding - o.k. maybe not
) Hopefully the insurance will all work out.
I'm anxious to get the bike tomorrow - even more anxious to HEAR it. A friend of mine also has an 04 1200C with Screaming Eagle II's on it -and I think it is the best sounding (particularly the idle) bike there is. Period. That sound and idle cadence was a HUGE (and I mean HUGE) factor in my decision to buy a Sportster.
