My nephew has an 01 Sportster and is going to put 16 inch apes on it. His dad wants to get him the cables and brakelines for hjim as a Xmas present. Knowing I had put apes on my bike, he thought I would know what he needed. Mine however were not custom cables and all I bought were stock cables for a Streetbob (I out apes on my FXD).

So, I told him I would ask the best source I knew of about what was needed for the bar swap. So, what do we need, and where is a good place, or places for these parts. I guess maybe an extended harness might be in order as well.

I got 16 inchers on mine. Don't know how long the brake cable is but the rest is:

Clutch 71"
Idle44"
Throttle 43"
