Nightster Gas Mileage
I'm still in the break in period. I've been riding it back & forth to work. This is the absolute best communter bike I've ever ridden. It's light. It practically stands upright itself. It's a rocket. I traded a 99 1200C that I absolutley loved. It broke my heart to part with it. However, I saw an instant improvement in acceleration. The throttle is incredibly smooth. It breaks better. The transmission is a huge improvement. The downside..... I hate the clicking of whatever they had to do to meet EPA standards. Sounds like Jap Junk. With my old 1200C I got used to setting my tripometer everytime I filled up. I learned to start looking for a gas station at 100 miles and switching to reserve at 120. I do the same thing with the Nightster, even with the fuel light. That damn light comes on at about 75-80 miles. I typically have about 1 gal left. Does everybody else have similar experiences?

RE: Nightster Gas Mileage
man, my light comes on between 100 and 120km in the city. thats like 60-70 miles. on a good day i'll get about 130-140 on the highway. the longest i went on a tank was 208km, and by the time i got to fill it up, the tank was dry. Tell ya, the scariest thing on the road is a sign that says NO FUEL NEXT 205KM. Espessially 2 hours into my 1200km ride home from picking up the bike.
