Buy a set of side mount plates and hardware. If you want to be able to take it on & off get a set of quick disconnect sideplates and hardware.

Ouickly? NO!. It depends on your mount. If the mounts are like mine, loosen the shock bolts, then get your fingers between the fender and tire and take the nuts off the fender bracket bolts. You have to be real careful you don't scratch your paint on one side while lining up the other side. A rag or piece of cardboard helps. Get your fender bolts through the bracket, and button her up. Don't forget the tighten the shock bolts.

AGREED. Not the cheapest way to go, but definitely the best.

Not want to steal his thread, but have a similiar problem. I was watching this thread, and loosened my shocks
and removed the only 2 with nuts on the back, but it is still tight. What else is there holding it on??
Thanks

Any idea what size bolt it is to add the backrest to the side plate. I am wanting to add My chrome inspection sticker plate there and need to get a longer bolt to use . WVleo

Much easier to get fingers/wrenches in there if you jack the bike up to get the tire out of the way!
