I'm sitting in a house in Baldwin Park, CA, right next to the 10 freeway, at 11:50PM. I swear every 5 minutes there are at least 5 sportbikers racing sounding like their doing 100+
about every 20 mins on a sunny day you can hear a nice loud harley cruising by. usually lasts awhile becuase there not racing..

On the other hand, most of the rockets sound like a bumble-bee caught in a soda can. That's a sound I'll NEVER get used to![:@]

Every state I have lived in allows motorcycles in the HOV lane with only one rider.

Can you ridea motorcycle in the HOV lanes in California? Isn't that High Occupancy Vehicle? Do you need your bike to be maxed out with a passenger? lol Sorry if I'm being ignorant, we don't have them here in Florida.

Actually I think alot of it is cost of repairs on the older metric bikes is a killer. I was repairing an 87 Kaw Ninja for a friend, it had a bad alternator and new one was $985 and $250 to rebuild it. Mind you this was a $1000 bike at best. It comes to the point where repairing it just isn't worth it....ask yourself how many older metric cruisers you see on the road?

I had a local group of motorcyclists ask me if I was interested in joining their club, 95% of them ride sportbikes and the rest ride meteric cruisers and wingdings.The guy told me that it was an awesome club and they could teach me tricks like doing a front wheelly stand with my bike. I told the guy, "I don't think so." He said, "Oh we do it all the time with Goldwings, yours would be easy to do it." I said, no thank you and rode away.
