Well I just finished up installing my color matched side covers kit on my Dark blue pearl XL1200L. Here are some pics! They need a bit of polishing and a good wax job.






Oil temperature dipstick




Super Sport detachable windshield




Front axle nut and swing arm chrome covers with skull motif.






Kuryakyn premium Iso grips with throttle boss, large Iso drivers pegs and Iso passenger pegs




Detachable side plates, chrome tapered rack and mini back rest and pad




Chromed and poilished forward controls with Iso pegs




For next spring I am planning on the following
V&H Shortshots staggered exhaust
Progressive Suspensions progressive front springs and Screaming eagle fork oil
Chrome hand controls

Looks great! One quick note, make sure you zip tie the left cover if you don't want lose it.

It ain't comong loose! It takes all four fingers to pull the cover off the clips now after I did my fix: https://www.hdforums.com/m_2422438/tm.htm

 

So color matched side covers are available from the factory?

I've wondered about that. Looking at getting a sportster and that is the first thing I think when I see one that isn't black.
