Default 100LL Av Gas, o2 sensor ?

Does a 2005 122C have an O2 sensor or any other sensor that lead would foul ?
I would like to runn 100LL Av Gas that I can get here at work. I ran it in my 03 blown mustang cobra but the that little bit of lead fouled my O2 sensors. Don't wnat that to happen to my bike. Why run 100LL instead of 91 ? I know I don't need the octane with only 9.5:1 compression. Well it will run cleaner and less carbon. I look at the aircrfat engines that are torn down for rebuild at the maintenance facility here and they are carbon free.

Thanks in advance -Craig

The 2005's are carbureted so there are no 02 sensors. They started with the 02 sensors in '07 for the EFI.

By the way, if your'e paying more for aviation gas, you're just wasting money. Clean combustion occurs with 91 octane.

I know some guys that are mixing the 100 octane '100LL Aviation Fuel' in with their regular unleaded fuel, but most of these folks are running very high compression engines, or have older 'muscle cars' that didn't have hardened valve guides and required tetraethyl lead in the fuel.

Only problem I can see is that the 100LL is a 'leaded fuel', and because of that it is illegal to run it in a street vehicle.

Around here we don't have any vehicle inspections, emission tests, or anything else, but some places might actually check and find out that you are running leaded fuel.

But even a mixture of 100LL isn't needed or required on a Harley engine, where even the 1200 is running less than 10 to 1 compression.

Keeping your engine tuned and in good condition (such as optimizing the air/fuel mixture, which many only 'guess at' instead of getting a vertified reading), will do more to keep your engine running clean than the small benefit you will get in running leaded fuel.

I don't know about your '05 but my '03 1200C really perks up when run about a 2/3 blend of 100LL. It sounds better, runs better, and runs stronger. If your bike is carbed try it, then post on here the results. So far I seem to be the only one who belives there is a benifit from running avgas. The guys at thedealer said I could run strate avgas and it would'nt hurt my engine.

Agiven octane rating is a requirement of the given compression ratio for a clean, complete combustion cycle. I am confounded that higher than required octane is giving anybody anything more than the specified octane level required. I'm not doubting anyone, just confounded! [&:]

I've heard mixed results on the AvGas thing,Craig. One guy at my airport runs a mix of 100LL in his old BMW cruiser and swears by it, anotherran it in his Glide and said it ran like crap. Unless you have big compression, I doubt you'll notice a big difference.

What's the price of 100LL at your field? Still way too expensive here at my airport. Typical aviation price gouge.....
