my 883 Girlie bike

Harley makes the 883's specially for younger riders and girls anyway.. It's a marketing thing and they want to make sure the younger set get onboard earily.
Really?? Can you show us some of your research on this matter?

Back to the topic at hand. My 8y/o daughter and 5y/o son love riding on my Harley with me. So much in fact that if I even move it to get to something else in the garage, when I turn around they are both standing their with their jackets and helmets arguing about who gets the first ride.

I grew up riding around the farm on a Honda QA50.

When I was about 12-13, I got an Yamaha Enduro 100. When I was 14, I got my motorcycle license and my folks turned me loose on the streets (of our very small town). I "upgraded" shortly to an Enduro 175 and rode on the street every single day for the next 2 years until I got my car license and then the bike sat in the corner of the garage for the most part.

Looking back now...I'm astonished that my folks turned me loose on the streets with bike at 14. I've got 2 kids now (7&9) and I can't fathom letting them ride on the street at such a young age. Maybe after they've driven a car for a few years and matured some.

Perhaps it's not fair that I'm much more over protective than my parents were - but I am.

Nevertheless...here is cool pic of my boy...

Here is a 'future Harley rider', at the age of 4 weeks.

Notice that 'biker growl' on his face, he's learning quickly.

Sorry, yea back on topic. My 9 year old son and my 5 year old daughter both love my bike. My son wants it for his first vehicle over my truck. He's getting a 4 wheeler for x-mas this year but he wants a dirt bike (he's not the most coordinated kid). I see them both riding motorcycles at some point.
