Default wet dreamz vs V&H

Highdesert, compare those wet dreamz with the V&H, I am trading mineto Insomniacs made by Pipe dreams (new ones) and asking for baffles. Loud?

I would say that the Pipe Dreamz are not quite as loud as the V&H.... I do have baffles in my pipes.... And they are plenty loud to me, and to everyone else who has heard them... I get nothing but positive comments on the look and sound... The sound of Pipe Dreamz exhaust is very unique and kind of "beastly," for lack of a better word... They growl nicely when you back off the throttle as well.

I highly recommend getting the optional torque cones (they create the proper back-pressure).... V&H is known for having top of the line performance.... They always make good stuff... However, my dyno results with the Wet Dreamz exhaust and stage 1, were the best the dyno tech had ever seen on a stage 1 1200.... Ben is committed to making the best custom Sportster exhaust on the market... And I believe he is succeeding.

What I really like about Pipe Dreamz is that not everyone out there is running them... At least not yet lol...If you want a unique and highly custom look on a Sporty... It just doesn't get any better IMHO

Thanks, my mechanic told me not to give up the V&H due to the performance, but I could not resist the looks of Ben's (PipeDreamz), and he is the man. Really knows his stuff, answers the phone, answers his emails and really cares about his customers. I can't say enough good about him. I am getting the cones, and was a bit concerned that the noise would be greater than the V&H as that is about my limit. Also good to hear that I may even get better numbers. I am going to get a dyno tune as soon as the pipes are on.. Anybody want the V&H straight shots? Good pipes but a little conservative looking for me. Ride on.

I went with the short shots in black and am getting my bike back this afternoon, i will let you know how they sound. Overall, i think you need to go with what you like, i just liked the black short shots on my bike.....and i like the wet dreamz pipes on HDkids bike. It is all relative, no matter which ones you choose it will look sick.......

Another vote for Ben and Pipedreamz. I have the Nitemarez on my 1200N and love them. They sound and look different than everything else and are very high quality. Ben is great to deal with and really passionate about Sportsters. IMO the torque cones are mandatory to get the best performance from the pipes. I also have the baffles and think the sound is about perfect.

You certainly can't go wrong with the V&H Shortshots and like you said, to each his own...

I have the flame heat shields that they used to sell, don't see them any more, but they have good shields...my pipes i noticed, have some blueing on them but they are under the shields...they look as good as the day I put them on, and that was 2 years ago...mine, I run with the torq cones and no baffles, had the baffles but took them out...never put them back in..the bike sounds sweet and loud..just the way I want it!!!
