Looking at a 2 pice Mustang seat for my 1200c. They offer a 12 inch wide and a 15 inch wide.Any thoughs on which one works and looks the best on a sportster.

 

Unless you're a big guy the 12" looks best in my opinion. I had one for about 6,000 miles myself....here's a rear shot of it:

 

Have to agree with captawes, (and I am a big guy) IMHO the 15" seat dwarfs the bike. - especially the pre 04 and narrow tank models.

The 12" is real comfortable and in my opinion looks best on a Sportster. Only thing, when you choose passenger pillon, get the 10.5" for your significant other. I've got the 8" and although it's better than the stock seat, the 10.5" wouldv'e been more comfortable for my girlfriend.

 

I Have the 15" and the ride is great. although it does look alittle big for the bike, 2000 1200c. my gf sure does like the 10.5" pillon. much better then stock. I/we can ride for many hours with out any discomfort. my *** would get sore after one hour with the origanal seat. btw i weight 225

 

I agree with most here, the 15 looks odd on a sporty.
