Default Kuryakyn Grips HELP!!!

Went to the dealership today to get my stock handlebars and cables back. I had mini apes installed a few weeks ago. Anyway... they gave my bars away but gave me a set that had Kuryakyn grips on them as a consolation prize LOL!!
Question for any who have played with these grips. How the heck do you get the left grip off??? It seems to be only the rubber insert that is holding it on. My buddy and I have twisted, twirled, grunted etc... with no effect except for the chrome part moving a little.
Any Ideas are welcome. I even tried wd-40 and adhesive remover with no success
Thanks
Jim

Asking yourself one question, are you going to keep the old grip? If the answer is no, cut it with a razor blade.

Sorry, I misread your question. I don't know what else you can do beside WD-40, have you tried heating it up with a hair dryer? Sometimes it's a pain in the A S S to get the old grip off.[:'(]

Kuryakyn grips (at least the L/H grip) are glued on with a CA (super glue) type cement they label as "Death Grip", says so right on the bottle. You will have to either cut them off or soak with acetone, either way will destroy the rubber grip portion. The installation instructions warn you on getting position right as you slide the grip on after applying the cement (Please note the install instructions link below) if not you are screwed as the grip is on there permanently!

Good luck!

Try sticking a very slim screw driver inside the grip, then, spray WD-40 inside, then stick the screw driver in another location, on the gripdo the same thing all over and sort of pry gently and it might just break the seal enough to come off. Anyway, that's what i've heard to do, and watched a friend of mine do as well. Worked!!

Thats what I did on my stock grips and it worked. Why damage something if you don't have to.
