RE: Who's hung it up for the year?
40 miles to work. Lately, very low 40's in the AM. The other day it was 29 when I left and when I got to work it way 36. Have most of the gear, but no chaps yet. I asked my bud at work yesterday how long he was going to ride, and he said, "one day longer than you". What a chump!!! He rides less than one mile to work!!!!!!!!!!

have not "hung" her up yet.... but I am afraid the time is comming[:@][:@][:@]
I am just south of MKG
over the next few months..... drink lots in the barn with a can of wax and a cloth in my hand and spend more time here than on the scooter( not that I don't enjoy being on this site, but my butt would rather be in the saddle!)

RE: Who's hung it up for the year?
I just got back from a little ride over toa ' auto parts store' to yack with a friend for a bit.... About 30 miles round trip, so it wasn't that far.
Was 26 outside when I left.
Nice 'brisk' morning to be out on the road....
My "high dollar" (about $4.00) Carhartt winter gear worked very well. Kept my head and ears nice a toasty.

I ride all year. Hasn't gotten too cold here yet, and I rarelyhave to go out very early in the morning. I'm sure If I lived a bit further North, I would eventually have to call an end to the riding season.
Never happened last winter. Only missed 2 days riding last winter, I rode in temps down to 15 degrees. And once in the Snow. I won't do that again, I think that was probably the most stupid thing I've ever done that involved gasoline.
