RE: 07 Vivid Black Nightser w/ Black Short Shots
ORIGINAL: BergeRON
I installed, the Vance And Hines Black Short Shots, V&H Fuel Pak, And Screaming Eagle Hi Flo Air Cleaner. After a Few Rookie mistakes had it all completed in about 3 hours.
A world of difference, Bikes Sound Great (Loud as ****),and Has such an increase in Power, and I think the pipes look great.
This is hers I can't wait for the Black Big Shot Duals to come in. (they are due late Nov. - early Dec.)

So did you leave the baffles in or did you add quiet baffles? Is it annoying when you ride or just a overall good loud? The reason i ask cause I have heard that since the pipes end so much closer to the rider, they are very loud even on HWY

Hello,
I purchased the pipes from a Vance and Hines Store Front in Whitter, Ca. I will get the the details later, The lady deals with the paperwork. I was reffered to them from a sales rep at Vance and Hines ( I called V&H direct). I put money down on Big Shot Duals Black and I was told I'm #1 on the list for those. I have a 2007 Roak King Custom.
I did remove most of the reflectors reflectors (yellow ones included). The yellow ones I just yanked off on a hot day (you could use a hair dryer) and they came right off. You could also use "Goo Off" to help remove any residue. The one on the back fender I just bent it downwards and it came right off.
I am getting a little popping on the decel but never a backfire. I used the Fuel Pak settings from the V&H website.
I have the standard baffles. It is loud as hell...I wear a full face so the noise doesn't bother me much. For me it is a good loud...For the car on the cellphone it is a Terrible loud.
Since making these Mod's this bike screams...I have so much more power I'm doing 60 in 3rd and I don't even realize. lastnight coming home from work I'm getting on it a little and I look down I'm doing 70. It's is fu#king amazing.
This is my girls bike. I bought it for myself but I need bags since Igot rid of my car. So I gave her the nightster and got me a roadking custom. Well, I got rear ended and My bike was in the shop for a month and a half. So I was back to riding thenightster, I was not enjoying it. Well, Well, since these Mods I'm taking the Nightster back.It sounds wicked, fast as hell. It was worth every penny.
