I wrecked my bike back in sep, 07. It was an 06 XL 883L with about 3,300 miles. I had purchased it for 5,995.00, which I thought was a pretty good deal. I have been looking to replace it ever since then, and was getting pretty discouraged with the prices I was seeing.
Kind of by accidentI ran across and ad from a local car dealer, who has started dealing in motorcycles. two of his sales people had 30 years between them with the local Harley dealer. But to the point, I called to see what he had and most were the bigger bikes. But he said I will be getting an 07 883 standard in this afternoon. I went by this morning to see it. An 07 XL883 standard with 998 miles, totally stock except for the factory
installed alarm system. looks in perfect condition, drives awesome. And I said how much, and he said if you want it today, you can have it for
5,995.00. Now I have been checking prices for a month or so, and think this is pretty good. But I wanted to run it by you guys with more experience in this matter. He has about 30 other bikes, but are 05 RK custom, 04 Electrra guide classic, mostly the bigger bikes. If you guys thinks it'sa good deal, I will pass along some prices hes looking at for the bigger bikes. they are located in Henrietta,Tx.

I appreciate any input you guys have. I know there is a lot of experience on this forum, and will probably be asking more questions when I get.

Thanks in advance

Jerry

and no, am not connected to them in any way. Just thought if there was a place actually dealing with good prices and good bikes I would like to pass it on.

Yes he does, but they don't have bikes on it yet. They have bought the building across the street and will set there bike operation up there.

Here's a few of the ones they had listed in the paper, but I dont know the mileage. I do know that all the ones I saw were in excellent shape.

05 RK custom 13,995.00 04 electra gluide classic 14,795.00 06 electra guide standard 14,995.00 07 softail custom 16,995.00

and an 06 streetgluide 17,295.00

It's Four Star auto ranch in henrietaa,tx. Their nr is 940-538-5678 and you would need to talk with Charlie Taylor. He is delivering my bike
Monday and he said he might have his entire list for me then. They will also reimburse the amount you pay for either the beginner or adnvaced
safety course if you wanted to take it anywhere.

One of the bikes he showed me had heated seats, heated grips, cruise control, am/fm cd, and gps navigation.

Thanks

Jerry

I was out there last week picking up my Dodge truck form ANOTHER recall. I checked out some of the bikes, and they do seem to have a good selection of used bikes. I don't know much about sportster prices, but the others seemed about normal. They will sell them because they have some pretty good financing set up...so they say.

When I was in there, which was saturday, the finance dude, who happens to be the son in law of a man I worked with, called his sources
and got me in at a tier B. Not sure what that is, but eliminated the verification of income, residency thing, and got me
11.9 interest. When I went thru harley, the had me at 13.99. 2% isn't a lot, but every litle bit helps. I don't know a lot about pricing on the ****er bikes, but do know they are all pretty low mileage. One actually had 74 miles on it, but not sure what it was..

Sounds like a prettygood price on the Sporty. A lot of that depends on the area you live. I've seen reported prices vary widely from one region to another. See if you can get them to throw in the 1,000 mile service.

For reference: An '08 XL 883 sells for an MSRP price of $6,695 (black) and $6975 (color option). The factory security system add $345 to the cost. Also, dealer freight and set-up costs range from $800-$1500 (total). You are probably saving2g or so.... which isn't bad for an '06. My honest opinion is that it is a pretty good deal.... not screamin... but fair.

BTW High desert kid it's an 07

And since it had 998 miles on it, they went ahead and did the 1,000 mile service on it. He told me to bring it back at 2,500
and they will do it again since it is used and gotten at auction. They will go over and check everything. The people are bending over baclwards
to make it the best experience it can be. They have over 30 bikes, most in the big bike range at good prices with low mileage if anyone interested.

Thanks

Jerry

It's Four Stars Auto Ranch in Henrietta, Tx nr is 1-800-299-4782 ask to speak with Charlie Taylor (sales) or Mr. Forrester (owner)

That sounds evenbetter.... Since you are getting one with the EFI upgrade as well. Sounds like you are dealing with a good business there.Congrats on the new bike!
