Default Hey HIDALGO....

I noticied you have both an XL and a Low...do they have the same HandleBars. I ask because I had a chance to hop on a Low recently and liked the Bars on it as oposed to the ones on my Custom (Drag Bars) and wanna change over..knowing what other models they come on could help me get them off eBay or swap with somebody from the Forum.>>>David

I was thinking about getting drag bars. What about them do you not like? I have the Low and it has the " ape like " handlbars on it.

I'm 6'3" and have to lean forward to get at the Bars..my preference is to be farther from the front of the bike..leaning more back than forward.I believe that if I were shorter it would be less of an issue so they may work for you better than for me..my Bike is an "C" model,'05.

David,

You know, I haven't actually measured to be sure, but both bikes feel the same to me. (when the wife allows me to ride hers) I "think" that the bars are the same. I'll be glad to do some measuring tomorrow for you if you would like for me to. Just let me know.

I'd aprciate it if you'd just do a quick check for me...knowing they're the same will let me chase them down on eBay for alot less tham the Stealer asks.I tried going to H-D to find out but could'nt get a straight answer from anyone at the stealer or outta the Catalog.Post your findings here and I'll read up on it tommorrow. Thanks>>David

David:

Sorry to be so long getting you the info you wanted. The bars on the 2008 883L and on the 2007 XL50 are indeed the same bars. Hope that helps.

UDLOOSE: What's your point? I don't let the wife ride MY bike....why should I think that she'd feel and different towards me? After all......it IS her bike. I keep it maintained for her, and if it needs to be taken to the corner station for fuel, I do that. But as far as just getting it out and joy-riding, I respect her enough that I wouldn't do that without asking. Maybe I respect my woman too much, huh? Then again, she's AWFULLY good to me in return.
