Tach on 2007 1200 Low

If you don't mind taking a picture of the setup on the Low so I can just see what it looks like with the handlebars and everything. Thanks man.
Also, do you happen to know the part number for the top handlebar clamp that you had to buy? The stock speedo housing on the Low is also the top clamp so you need to replace that when switching to the dual gauges.

Hey psychobooe, I am sorry it took so long for me to respond back to you. I usually work at night so when I go to get my bike out to ride to work on, it is dark out and I can't get a good shot with my camera because the flash causes too much of a glare reflection and you can’t really see anything with it so I needed to take a shot in the daytime to have something to post up for you to see. I think that the handlebar clamp is just a stock clamp for a XL883 or a XL1200R and the two gauge bracket came with my order of a stock Tachometer. My only problem is that HD charges about $100.00 more for the blacked out Tachometer and the stock Speedometer on the XL1200L Low is Chromed, so the dealer ordered a Chromed Tachometer to match up with the Chromed Speedometer without asking me about it. I would have preferred to have both of the gauges blacked out but that is not the case with my XL1200L. The handlebar set up is exactly the same on the picture of my 2007 XL883 and you can see that those gauges are the Blacked out kind that I also wanted on my 2007 XL1200L Low. I hope that this information is useful to you. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me to discuss them. Until later, Take care and ride safe out there!

Add tachometer to 2007 883r
Just finished the install of a hd matching black tach on my 883r.
Could not see spending what harley was asking for it. Found a part #67182-95d in black on ebay for $60 ....shows as being for '95 - '03.
Did not think it could be too hard to adapt for my 2007 883r.
Had to cut into a ground (-) and accessory (+) in the wireing harness and soldered the connections then just had to run the trigger wire over to the speedometer connector to tap into the data cable. Buttoned it all back together....works great.
If you have basic mechanical and electrical knowledge ...don't be intimidated....you can save a ton of $$$.
Thanks to others that posted info on figuring out the connections. Used the wireing info that came with the kit to wire up the tach connector ...then used a hd wireing diagram yo figure out what colors to tap into
