Get an electra glide for 2 up. I love my Dyna superglide. It handles my 110 pounder effortlessly. She would love a sissy bar but I think they're lame, when it's just me. Nightsters are cool looking, but they're sportsters---(light, great for in town stuff) I guess it all depends on what your plans are. Good luck man, really no bad decision. My recommendation is to get a Street bob. It's got a black motor and it's denim black..... can't go wrong with that especially now that Vance and Hines makes flat black pipes!!

was at a dealer again today.( I drive for a living so I tend to drive by them almost everyday). The rear seat portion of the superglide custom and the 1200 custon sitting next to each other seems about the same size. How is the dyna less cramped front to rear I asked myself?
Also I wonder: how does the xl stack up to say a BMW r800 st or a Triumph Bonnie in 2 up riding? Or even a Ducati Monster 1000.

Mustang makes a back rest pad that is recessed to give an extra inch of room If anyone might be interested.

I will get a new nightster or a used dyna low or wideglide. Also if I can find a Fatboy in great shape that is in my budget then that will be right up at the top. Doing the safety course this week then off to test ride or rent (been riding for 20 years and never got my endorsement.... doohhh)

I would like to thank everyone for their contribution to this thread. I have decided the nightster is not for me. This afternoon I had my first opportunity to see one on the road. We drove together for a couple miles on the freeway. He was about my size and frankly the guy looked like he was stradling a 2x4. This bike is just too narrow IMHO for a guy about my size (6'- 190 lbs.) to ride on. Back to the wideglide or fatboy for me.

That was one of the things I never liked about my sportster was how narrow it looks the wider tanks on the custom models help a little, but the bike just looks to narrow from the front or rear view. When I bought the Super Glide my wife followed me home from the dealer when we got home she said the Dyna just looks better riding down the road the Sportster looked liked a bicycle with a engine.

I had watched an OCC episode where two of them went on a scooter trip to get lobster. Seeing him on the bike reminded me of those two guys on their scooters
