What should a motorcycle look like in your opinion? It's very subjective, but the thing that draws me to the sportster whenever I look at the new bikes is the look. Seems like it looks like a bike should. I don't like the looks of some of the more expensive harleys. Anyone like the look of another bike better than the sportster?

2 wheels and a motor is what makes a bike.

 

The sportster is a beautiful bike. When I was a teenager I fell in love with the look of the sporty and it was the first Harley that I owned. I just need something that I can tour on. The sportster just wasn't the bike for me.

 

I think the sportster looks like and old school muscle bike and has classic looks that no other bike can duplicate. Light agile and all motor. There are plenty of other very nice looking bikes out but the sporty is on the top of my slightly predujuiced view of what a real classic bike should look like.

I too found the metrics to be too wide and simply not look like bikes but some kind of retro fashion statement. The bigger Harleys.... Well, they are nice and have a purpose for those who like/need a bigger and/or more comfy bike for two up riding... ME... I perfer the look of the sporty, the feel of the sporty, the nimbleness of the sporty. HELL... I LIKE THE WAY SHE MAKES ME FEEL!!!!
