Default I'm RUINED! But I'm keeping the Sporty

Rode my new Road King Classic today for the first time............WOW

I took the long way both to and from work. I'm impressed!...It's a Cadillac....SO smooth and handles so easy.

Believe it or not, it actually easier to ride than the sporty.....I figured it would act heavy and be difficult to handle slow and when stopping. NOT SO!....It behaves better in all regards than the sporty, especially above 70....At 70-80 it's in it's element and really settles down tillyou lightly push the bars, then it slips precisley into the other lane and squats down as you twist the wick.

I LIKE IT......It's a keeper....I'll keep the sporty too for a buddy bike and barhopping, but the Road King is gonna get top share of the miles.

Congrats dude. I'm trying to swing my Uncle into giving me his RK for CHEAP. I dont think he's put 200mi on it in the last 3 or 4 years. In fact I dont think he, himself, has put more than 200mi on it since he's had it. My dad broke it in for him, haha.

Love the Road King... I would love to have one.... It's not nearly as fun as a Sportster... But it's a great two-up bike.

Yeah, it's a '07 and I had them add the IDS, so it's no different than the '08.....That electronic cruise control ispure ***** too...I gotta get some pics posted!

Dallas, you need to understand!: The ex stole my two horses and my dually. I had to replace the horses! So now I got a walking horse and a barrel racer like I had before except these guys don't crap everywhere and I can ride them to work....Heh, heh. Don't have to haul hay n feed either so she can keep the dually.

Thanks for the congrats Gents.

I guess you have got to loose the spirit of youth some time....Just kidding, congrats, the Road King is a nice bike. Some day I might be able to afford one myself.

Got my first taste of a big twin the last week or so on a wide glide loaner. It definatly firmed up mine and my wife's want for a 2 up touring model. I almost traded my sporty, then came to my sences.LOL We'll get one next season some time.
