Is it a good idea to carry a can of fix-a-flat with you in case of a flat tire a hundred miles from home. I know fix-a-flat is not very good for your aluminum wheels but you have to do what you have to do. Give me some ideas! Thanks

 

Belong to HOG national or some other group that provides road service and always carry a cell phone to call the wrecker is about all you can do.I opted for another option andhave cast wheels which allowsme to run tubeless tires and enables me to make roadside repairs (in most cases) with a tire plug gun and a 12 v. air pump.

 

If you have tubeless tires, you can get a tire plug kit that uses c02 cartridges to inflate. Fits in your tool bag. If not, call HOG.

Go to stopngo.com. They have some great scooter tire repair kits. I like the mushroom plugs. The kit for $47 has 4 co2 cartridges and the plugs. Take alook!!

I have had the AAA Plus for years because of the extra coverage for my for my cars ( I used to travel for my job, and my wife travels some). The bike coverage is just an added benefit.

Not sure how much more $ it is than the standard, but to me it's beeen worth it.
