Default RE: some of u 2nd guessing yer sporty purchase

Been a llittle while since I've been on the forum, but we all know the story, woman's bike, beginner's bike, entry level bike. The truth is the Sportster is the best selling bike Harley Davidson has and also the longest production running line they have.
Why? It's most afordable, most fun to ride, easy to chop, best lookin bike in it's class, and some of the other models actually were modeled off the Sportster's design. ( take a closer look at some of the dyna's parts). The Sportster has a GREAT historyall the way back to the k-model. However, I'm predgedist (don't know if that was spelled right maybe I should check with ^) I have an 04 XL 883 and love it, and also ride it more than my new 07 ULTRA. My second guess would have been the later not the Sporty. Ride on people ride on. When I figure out how to get some pictures on here I will put both. Just had to put my 2 in. gravelrash

I don't regret it at all. However, I won't do it again either. My current Sportster is going to be around for a very very long time, so there's no need to purchase another. I will by another bike at some point and it will probably be either a Softail or RK but it will always be second best to my Sportster and it's going to have to share the garage too....And as for the comments about Sportster'sI don't reallycare what people think because they don't know what they're talking about anyway....

This is my 2nd Sportster. To me, driving a sportster is like driving an agile sports car compaired to driving a big *** Cadillac. Those that think it's a girls bike must think that guys don't drive Vettes.

If a Sportster is a girls bike then a Corvette must be a girls car. I love the way they accelerate and handle. They are truly "sporty" as opposed to the big bikes.
