I am going to change my headlight on a 06 1200 C, however I am totally confused as to what to put in. Ive seen through the search, people have used H4, 9003ST and the like. Well I went intoSylvania's web site and I now see a Ulta Silverstar, which is still brighter than the H4 and 9003ST, has any body used this and what was your satisfaction. By the way I wrote Sylvania a letter and got a reply back, H4ST and 9003ST are one of the same, just packaged different for auto and motorcycle.

 

European calls H4 and Japanese calls 9003, they are the same bulb. The factory one is already a Halogen bulb, Silverstar is a bit brighter than stock.

 

As a warning, the Silverstar bulb is not vibration rated. Each of my first 2 Silverstar bulbs lasted about 3 months (blew the high beam element). Some BT's like the Glides seem to run them without a problem but it seems a sporty shakes them to an early death.
