You're right.. I does look kind of like a Sportster..

Apparently companies are still trying to steal the 'looks and style' of various Harley models.

No to me it looks like a 900SS Ducati. Other than the V-twin I'm not seeing it.

So we're retro-styling. Looks to me to be the ultimate complement.

Well, retro is without a doubt the word, and a real salute to a group of older marques. The new Yamaha Sakura looks like a mutt of severalbikes to me. I see the British Twin (BSA, Triumph, Norton, etc) styling, the Holy Grail of V-Twins - the Vincent, and a touch of the Sportster.I like it's overall melding of all those influences.

I think it's a hoot that they seem to compare the retro look to an olderYamaha knock-off of the British bike, as though they invented the standard British Twin.

All that being said, there is no replacement for the iconic Sportster. The only reason Asian bikes put the British Twins "to bed" had to do with the British makers continually trying to put accents on a bike whose engine was designed in 1937 by Phil Irving, and they never changed or updated that engine design.

Did anyone enlarge it? It looks like there is two exhaust pipes coming out of the front cylinder... anyway this thing is fugly. Kaw a few years ago come back with there W650 and failed.
