XR750 meets up with a Ducati Monster and they have a kid...
Obviously this has been around for a while. Inspires some discussion from the purists though. Here's a question for the crowd that cries out in horror when they find parts of their Sporty that were made somewhere other than WI and believe we should close borders and not trade or buy foreign goods and services: How do you feel about selling an "American-made" bike to foreign markets? It's essentially the same scenario that's considered "wrong" here, only in reverse. Is it still wrong?

I think the XR1200 looks absolutely awesome. I do think the XL1200R, though, would still be my choice between the two since the XL is much more relaxed for trips than the XR. Still a really cool bike. I'm pretty flabbergasted that they would go to foreign markets first with a bike that is sort of like the first HD race bikes...which are incredibly American. So it's kinda like "what were they thinking?"
