Default wix oil filter

I just changed oil in my '95 sporty and was recommended to use a wix 51225 oil filter. I was told it is a top notch filter. Now I'm reading stuff about microns and flow through restriction and bypass. Is there a problem using this filter on an Evo engine? I didn't buy it because of price but because of quality. Any suggestions?

Ya done good. Changing the oil and filter is the important part, most of the rest is sales BS.

Wix is an excellent filter for your bike. The same wix filter is sold by NAPA Auto Parts under their "NAPA Gold" filter label and it's available in black and chrome. To convert the Wix part number to NAPA just drop the 5 nt the front of the Wix part number. Add a C to the end of the number for Chrome.

I use WIX filters when I have to, like on the Esprit. I use genuine Toyota filters on everything else: The 3 Toyotas and the 2 Harleys. The correct Toyota filter for an Evo and 883 is the same as used on 22R engined vehicles such as a 1986 Truck. And they are black too.
