42mm mikuni installed
well I been trying to hold off until I got the heads and cams for my bike but I couldnt stand it any longer.
so today I decided I would go ahead and put the new carb on it really isnt that difficult of a task . for some reason the instructions say remove the fuel tank why I dont know . I didnt do it and dont know why anybody would . anyway after a bit of tweaking and adjusting I hopped on that bad boy and lit up the highway . holy crap the difference in throttle response is amazing and the bike runs so much smoother .
It feels like the bike just wants to jump right out from underneath you , no hesitation or lag just instant launch.. I cant wait to do the heads and cams this is gonna be good.

Thanks for posting this bit of info. I was looking into a couple of carb kits but was unsure what I would need to modify on the intake to make them work. It sounds like a plug and play operation if you buy the right carb.
Just wondering, but had you rejetted before the new carb? I wonder if the bigger carb is that much better than a rejetted stock CV carb.
