I ran Silverstar's For Motorcycle Use - part number: H4ST. They are pretty darn good. I was unable to find the Silverstar Ultra's in 9003 until recently. Just found 'em and put them in last week. I think they are a step up from the H4ST. I also run fog/aux lights for better visibility day and night. BTW the H4 and 9003 are the same bulb.

Legally, the aux lights are supposed to be wired into the low beam wire and thus go off when you go to high beam. Some folks I know(I wont say who) wire them into the hot wirefeed and then they stayon highor low beam -on the theory when you are bright....be bright. Theycome with a switch to turn them on and off.
I also installed theKuryakynâ„¢ Smart-Wire Rear Run-Turn-Brake Controller. It converts the rear turn signals to running-brake-turn signals; and has the option to flash the lights when first applied (which I did not activate).
My view is that I want to present as much of a presence, front and rear, as I can.

I picked up the Silverstar Ultra---I run them in the car, truck and bike. I like them.
Pep Boys had a sale last week---not sure it is still going on or not $40 with a $20 mail-in-rebate.
I would like to find someone local to my area, that wants to go halves on a HID conversion---don't need 2

RE: Do Brighter bulbs really help ?
I went out last night with my high beams on all the time, for the first time. put on about 40 miles, I got flashed with high beams 2 times by cars. So that didn't work out for me. Going buy the book, I have them adjusted about right.
So I need to adjust them down more, or, move them up a bit, with a new brighter bulb to try to make the low beam work better.
I went to a AutoZone today, they had a H4 Silverstar $19 the guy didn't know what the H4 ment, and Im thinking with the H4 on it, that it must be o.k.for a Sportster. So is this a good bulb? or should I keep looking?...Thanks.

I dont like what I just found out I think the bulb that was already in my bike is a brighter bulb it has no brand name on it but
the numbers are{ OSRAM HB2 DOT 9003 ST GERMANY BILUX
60/55W H4} If this is not stock then I have no place to go for improvement with out a lot of $ that I dont have.
So is it what I think it is?...
