Def Leppard has always been one of my favorites, mostly Pyromania and back.

 

AC-DC Absolute epitomy of a rock and roll band....no non-sense, no ballads, just plain ol simple rock and roll chords, rythymns, etc....The lead guitaristangus isexcellent, but that cat on rythymn that plays that old gretsch guitar is an excellent rythymn guitar player....His rythymns DRIVE that band really well...Got to see that band live about a month before bon scott checked out....They put on one heck of a show...Ol bon scott played the bag pipes on the song.....its a long way to the top if you wanna rock and roll....That song ROCKED !

 

Those bands have been around a long time. Just like our sporties. AC/DC listened to them in college and still do today.

 

I think of those as more of hard rock band then the ones listed in the pull. I voted for Metallica! At lease compared to most hard rock bands now days, the other 3 are more of classic rock now. I still love listening to them, well maybe not Def Leppard so much.


And Justice for All is my all time favorite! So much deeper, darker, angrier! They were still pissed from lousing Cliff, it comes across in the music.

 

Metallica - Hmmm used to be Metal, nearly thrash at that..now.. hardly a rock band. I think Lars said the next CD was going to be crossover country... If he wasn't such a peckerhead, I would like this band.... Ride the Lightning was their last good CD.

Def Lep - Again, Hard rock? Use to be...soft rock at best these days.. Had creds...don't now.

AC/DC - The quintessential hard rock band. Nothing fancy, just in your face Hard Rock!! You don't have to think about it, it just moves you. Recently I went to a a Heaven and Hell show featuring Black Sabbath with Dio fronting, Queensryche, and Alice Cooper. I love all three bands but Alice BLEW everyone off the stage... why? Nothing fancy, just good straight up in your face ROCK!! Highly recommended. His show was dead on perfect!

ZZtop - A close second.. Although more southern rock than hard rock, still a no nonsense band that has stuck to its guns over the years. Unlike the first two overproduced, overrated bands.

 

One of the best albums ever!!

I don't know dragon, I think that while the black album was alright it was the start of thier downward spiral. Justice rocked even though you could hardly make out the bass lines. And the earlyer 3 albums just plain kicked ***.

 

WTF DOES THIS HAVE TO DO WITH RIDING .BY THE WAY LED ZEPPLIN WILL NEVER BE TOPPED

 

Out of those choices.....AC/DC

In general, Led Zeppelin.

 

Thats why theres 32 flavors!
