Default Burning headlight wiring harness

Guys, help! I'm burning through headlights and now the wiring harness is burning up. What is the problem? I haven't changed any wiring in the front of the bike. I got rid of the rear turn signals about 3 months ago and have been riding ever since. Now all of a sudden I'm changing headlights every third time I ride the bike. Any ideas?

I'm still steamed that you posted the garage door opener deal AFTER I shelled out the bucks for the HD version.

Do you have a service manual? Take a look at the wiring diagram and trace the headlight wires, either you have a short or the headlight draws excessive amperage. Make sure the wires didn't get pinched, that's about it.
