rear wheel out of alignment will do it too. 98% of front end wobble, vibration or tire wear is caused by a misaligned rear or some other rear problem. an out of balance rear tire will cause vibration at the ftront wheel.

What is the best way to check to see if the wheels are aligned properly? Also any idea on cost to have my wheels balanced at the stealer?

I've got it too, but I noticed that when Itakemy left hand off the bars it goes away, the wind is causing a buffetingoffofme(similar to what some have experienced on batwings)...
I 'd try that before spending money trying to find a problem that isn't there...

I JUST got back from my first freeway trip. I know how you feel. I chalked it up to my nervousness and the little lines in the road that run paralell to the road. (just read in a post above me that its called "grooved") Skinny tires arent for those roads haha. there were times i calmed down and enjoyed and the ride was smooth.
anyway it was awesome. 883 is sooo much power

Haven't been to worried about it till today. Wind was kinda strong today though and I was in a hurry to get to work so was going 80-85 the whole way. Just freaked me out a couple of times is all. Most my time as of now on the hwy is 70-73 or so. Might just be that I was going faster than I am use to but seemed like it was worse. I will just ride on and see what happens.

I would recommend you getting a shop manual anda way to lift the bike to start with. There's several things you can check on the front end to help eliminate or find what's causing this wobble. Start with the front wheel off the ground, get thefront end pointed straight forward and look straight at the front tire, is it in line with the frame and handlebars,, if not the triple tree clamps may beloose or the front end slightly tweaked to the left or right,, if so easy fix,, if it's good then continue on.
You need to check for loose bolts or nuts on the entire front end including the triple tree to fork tube clampsand handlebar risers and wheel axle, check for side to side play on the front wheel, you could have bad wheel bearings or loose spokes,, spin the tire by hand and look for side to side wobble and out of round deflection both on the rim and tire,,, check the spokes to see if they are tight if there is no wobble,,,, look at the tire for signs of cupping (dished out areas from side tread toward center tread) you can run your hand along the tire and if you have any you will feel them. Inspect the tire for cracking and tread wear basically make sure it's a good tire from a visual standpoint.
You can check the steering head bearings at this time as well,, loose head bearings cause most front end wobbles, but not all of them. If all of the above is o-k you can have the tire balanced again,,, that for the most part covers the front end,,,, after you do that and it still wobbles then you must check some other areas, but do the front end first.
