Default Rigid Mount Saddlebags

I bought a pair of HD Rigid Saddlebags (53050-04B)to go on the girlfriends 04 883. I bought them used, and almost wish I hadn't as they came w/4 spacers, nuts, and bolts. I have the Laydown liscense frame/signal re-locate....and well...strraight up, I'm lost on which spacers go where, and how they're supposed to mount to the fender. It would appear that they bolt through the backside, and nut down right in the bag. However contrary to any other bags I've mounted, if you un-bolt them....they are lose in the fender, and do not self retain like the "stud" type mount on my Heritage. Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

The wider mounts go the back and narrow to the front.

So, does this require me to get the quick disconnect hardware? And do these just Nut from the inside of the fender w/the bolt heads in the bags? That would mean that the spacers/bolts, and nuts all come off when you unbolt the bags?

I realize that this thread is a little old, but thought I would try to find an answer. I too puchased some53050-04B saddlebags used and they did not come with any mounting hardware. I was wondering what, if any, mounting harware was required. I don't have a sissy bar or rack, so no docking hardware is required for spacing. I moved the signals back with the layback relocation kit. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanx,
Sarge
